gpt  GUID Partition Table  全局唯一标识磁盘分区表  是一个实体硬盘的分区表的结构布局的标准。它是可扩展固件接口(EFI)标准(被Intel用于替代个人计算机的BIOS)的一部分,被用于替代BIOS系统中的一32bits来存储逻辑块地址和大小信息的主开机纪录(MBR)分区表。

不管是什么操作系统,都是安装在硬盘上的,所在就有相应的格式,这就是根本所在

*物理存储介质(PhysicalStorageMedia)
指系统的物理存储设备:磁盘,如:/dev/hda、/dev/sda等,是存储系统最底层的存储单元。
*物理卷(Physical Volume,PV)
指磁盘分区或从逻辑上与磁盘分区具有同样功能的设备(如RAID),是LVM的基本存储逻辑块,但和基本的物理存储介质(如分区、磁盘等)比较,却包含有与LVM相关的管理参数。
