Cabarc.exe: Cabinet Tool

This command-line tool allows users to create, query and extract Windows
cabinet (CAB) files.

Note

• CABArc does not allow you to add files to an existing CAB (.cab)
  file.

Concepts

A CAB file or cabinet file is a single file created to hold a number of
compressed files and used for the installation of software products. When a
program is installed, the files within the CAB file are decompressed and copied
to their appropriate directory locations. Windows CAB files use the extension
.cab.
