If you work with LabVIEW, you may be familiar with TDMS file format, which stands for Technical Data Management Storage, developed by National Instruments. It is great for measurement data. It is great as well for configuration to replace XML, INI, TXT and the likes simply because of its security and transparency (it can be viewed using Excel but can’t be edited). It is like using screws with special heads, which of course require a special tool to operate.
LabVIEW provides flexible and easy ways to read from TDMS files of course (it is their format!), but making a TDMS file for configuration requires some head scratching. For this purpose here comes this TDMS Editor. This package is simple, not meant to be comprehensive to cover the capacity TDMS files can offer. But it is more than enough for making configuration files, and it is the purpose.
